After the fine Red Carpet looks, it’s time to turn our eyes towards the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards 2023 winners! Organised by Sports Chosun, the latest edition of the auspicious ceremony was held at Paradise City, Incheon in South Korea on July 19, 2023. Hosted by Jun Hyun-moo and King the Land‘s Im Yoon-ah or Yoona, the event was broadcasted by KBS 2 for the South Korean audiences and live-streamed on the network’s official YouTube channel for international audiences.
The nominees included even titles released solely on OTT platforms, as long as the series were released from May 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023. In the teaser, we can see the logos of the different streaming platforms making their appearance to suggest that all the series came from acclaimed platforms and ones that create good content. The highest number of nominations were received by Netflix’s The Glory (Drama), led by Song Hye-kyo, and SNL Korea Season 3 (Variety).
In addition to the main host-duo, this year’s presenters’ list was equally breathtaking. Including talents like Joo Hyun-young, Park Chan-yeol, Koo Kyo-hwan, Jung Ho-yeon, Kim Shin-rok, Kim Sung-cheol, Lee Hak-joo, Lee Yu-bin, Kang Ho-dong, Song Eun-i, Lee Jung-jae, Kim Go-eun, Park Hyung-sik, Park Shin-hye, Jung Hae-in, Han Hyo-joo and Gong Hyo-jin, the awards show is indeed trickling with stupendous artists on all sides.
