2021 showed the power BTS holds over the world. With its ‘Permission To Dance’ concert in LA breaking all records, it has been well understood that the boy band has a presence that is felt all around the world. The group recently grabbed Variety’s best record of the year and BRIT Awards is the next place it has found a place.
The 2022 BRIT Awards is the 42nd in its name and presented by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It will be held on 8 February 2022 and is considered the most high-profile music awards ceremony in the United Kingdom that recognizes the best in British and international music. The ceremony is going to take place at the O2 Arena in London and is going to be hosted by British comedian, Mo Gilligan.
Last year, BTS became the first-ever Korean artist to be nominated under a BRIT Award category. This year the band continues its legacy and gets nominated for the second time. Similar to their nomination last year, this year too the band is nominated for Best International Group. Their fellow nominees include ABBA, Måneskin, Silk Sonic, and The War on Drugs for the year 2021.
